Farm Share Week 12 (Aug 17-21)

Our sweet tooths get a little boost this week!

Watermelon and sweet corn are certainly getting me excited this week, as well as those sweet cherry tomatoes and ground cherries. Chinese cabbage is the first of the cabbages to be ready, and let me tell you, it is absolutely perfect in stir fries, and also makes an amazing wrap! This recipe for Spicy Chinese Cabbage Wraps looks amazing! If you have a whole share, the cilantro is also included. Since the peppers are not here yet (they are late but should be here soon due to the late frost and lack of rainfall), why not try the snow peas for a little vibrancy and crunch in your wraps? If you want to keep it simple, and super fast, try stir frying your chinese cabbage with zucchini, shrimp and a little broccoli. I seasoned this stir fry with sweet thai chili sauce and oyster sauce, and it tasted amazing. It took all of 20 minutes to feed myself very well! I didn’t bother with the carbs but rice noodles, quinoa or a bed of rice would have paired beautifully!
