Hello from the fields,
This week we have a few unexpected treats (ok, so I was watching those beans for weeks now): green beans and sugar snap peas! We also have beets again. Remember you can use the tops too in with your greens. This may be the last week for zucchini, ground cherries and melons, so eat up :). The tomato vines are done out there and tomato season is over (sigh). Potatoes will be here to provide us with comfort food now until the end of the season.
New crops on the way are more beans and peas likely for next week, squash and cabbage. The peppers are getting decidedly red out there so we are likely going all red next week in the boxes!
The weather has been amazing (though a little dry) for September. Don’t stay cooped up inside this week. Take a walk, go to the park, hike or just read a book in the sun. It’ll make you feel amazing!
